Tales from the Road - See you in St. Louie!

i have to say, i'm more than a little envious of La Taureau and crew for their road trip. i've always loved roadtrips, which i guess comes from the several major trip my family took as a child; from eastern virginia to san diego and back in 1976, and again (one-way) in 1979. various communications from La Taureau reminded me of why i love them, such as the largest roadside cross in the u.s.;

if that doesn't "save" me, i don't know what will!!

La Cognilia is still behaving herself surprisingly well. she spends her days playing with Nana and staring at the backseat rest. even her and the dog are getting along, unlike other siblings, who resort to violence when the road games break down.

but sitting for long hours at a stretch with nothing but each other for stimulation is starting to take it's toll. our beloved dog was caught more than once trying to bury her supper...under the blanket on the back seat. La Taureau soon found it was easier to get the dog to eat if she just poured the kibble on the blanket, as opposed to actually having it in the bowl. it seems to be more appetizing that way.

after a night in st. louis, it's the final stretch to cincinnati.
