time is ticking down to when La Taureau and La Cognilia leave for ohio. with the day now fast approaching, the packing has shifted into high gear. but with the increase of boxes and things being pulled out of storage to put in said boxes, space has become extremely limited. therefore, many things need to be done in shifts, such as packing clothes. this past weekend was my turn to pack clothes.
because i will not be going with caravan across the great divide, i had to split up my clothes between those i'm going to keep during the rest of my stay in san diego, and those that will be loaded into the truck with everything else, and those that will be given to goodwill. the clothes that are going to ohio had to be further separated between those i will want access to at christmas when i will be given leave from basic training to go to ohio and i will not need until i finally make it to ohio next july. it felt a little like separating out friends as to level of importance;
"i like you a lot, so you can come to my house after school. i sorta like you, so you can sit with me at lunch. you? you can give me a valentine's, but don't expect one back. and you! if you so much as talk to me in public, i will squirt a dozen raw eggs in your locker...."
