a sign of the times?

i noticed, with great appreciation, that most of the gifts that were given by my family members were homemade.  my sister, tessa, gave us a small loaf of zucchini bread.  my other sister, lady c, gave us homemade walnut-pesto sauce.  my brother, the "ar-teest", gave us a drawing of "our lady of guadalupe".  my cousin's husband gave us (me) a bottle of homemade beer. and La Taureau gave out homemade cookies and "cake balls" (made by mixing a baked cake with icing, forming into balls, and dipping in melted chocolate.  insulin for your diabetic shock not included).

my parent's didn't give out gifts this year, but they did provide 20lbs of beef roast (no, that is not a typo).  all i can say, they way my family cooks, i would be happy seeing these gifts every year!

Your contribution to that delightful Christmas Dinner was such that you and La T will now be required to bring it every year.
