carrots for vodka

yesterday's post was in regards to the homemade goodies that christmas brought out, and tessa commented about the orange spiced carrots La Taureau and i brought for dinner.

it's really an easy recipe that calls for brown sugar, orange juice, cinnamon, nutmeg and butter.  pour over carrots and slow-cook in the crock pot for 4 hours, heating up in a pot on the stove to thicken the sauce just before serving.  as we were mixing the sauce to pour over the carrots, it occurred to me, if you were to substitute the carrots for vodka, you could have a pretty deelish holiday cocktail!
