first things first; happy new year! 2008, by most standards, was pretty lousy. but, there were some bright spots. like election day, for example. not to get too political, but i'm really glad obama was elected. or perhaps, relieved is a better discriptor, both domestically and internationally.
secondly, the resolutions. well, "resolution", singular. pretty much keeping this blog up to date. thus today is the first blog. will it be updated daily, weekly, or monthly? I don't know, but certainly with regularity.
i'm excited about this year. first of all, i hope to get my AA in accounting by the summer (i start my last class in a few weeks). which will be beneficial in getting a job when we move to cincinnati in the fall. this, of course, is subject to change, based on economic circumstances, and on reason number 3. reason number 3 is that on july 31, or sometime thereabouts, mrs. skorpeo and i will be parents! we found out about a month ago, and were able to go in early for a sonogram. we heard the heartbeat and were able to confirm the baby is healthy. we get to find out in a few weeks what the sex is. yes, i want to know. my family is notorious for having boys; i have three neices and eleven nephews, so i really want a girl. and if it is a boy, i'm going to need the extra months to prepare myself for a "mini me".
so that brings me back to the resolution in keeping this blog updated. watch this space for news!! until then, i hope everyone has a healthy and properous new year!
